Description |

The rope clutches and winch installed on Louis
Plaisance's "Saint Benedict," courtesy of Robert Bemben (and Louis to
him). |
|
After cutting down my handrails one rung, it's still
going to be a tight fit.
|
|
Barely room, if that. |
|
On Wally Riddle's "Carpe Diem,"
parked alongside my house, he
solved this problem by moving the handrails to the top of the pop-top
cabin hatch. This is a view of Chip Ahoy if I did likewise. |
|
It would allow me to move the rope clutches and winches
further forward. But then I'd need to fill the holes in the deck
where the handrails were originally fastened, and drill new holes in the
pop-top. (Apr. 9, 2007) |
