Sail #3282  l  Marblehead, Massachusetts

A Chart View of Chip Ahoy's Home Port

During sailing season, Chip Ahoy is moored off the West Town Landing  (aka, the Village Street town dock) in Salem Harbor. (Marblehead townies call it "the right side of the wrong harbor"!) If it weren't for the trees, I could see Chip Ahoy out on its mooring from my house atop the hill. As it is, I can almost see it out there from the front of my driveway: it's visible before you get down to the dock. It's just a short walk down a very steep hill to get to the dock where I keep the dinghy, "Chip Mate," tied up. As you can see, it's then just a short trip out to my mooring and boat. There's also a launch service that runs from the dock for a small fare.
