Description

Primer is complete.  (Mar. 8)

The keel, moved outside in the boatyard, ready to be installed (Mar. 11)

I trailered Chip Ahoy down to the boatyard this morning and the crew there hung the keel. I've got to return later this spring so they can  sand and paint it when they bottom-paint the hull; it was still too cool for painting today.  (Mar. 15)

The old keel-hanger bronze castings and pivot pin are still in very good shape I'm assured, but I had them install the new stainless bolts (view of portside casting). I have a complete new keel-hanger casting kit available. I expected that I'd need it but didn't, this time.
