Description

Moored in the cove of Great Misery Island on Day One. (Aug. 3)

Sunset over Great Misery Island and close to the rocks as the tide falls. (Aug. 3)

Sunset at Newburyport Harbor Marina on the Merrimack River. (Aug. 5)

I had a drive-in theater front row seat of the stage production in Prospect Park for no additional charge in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, while at its dock. (Aug. 6)

That's the Portsmouth Navy Base on Seavey Island across the Piscataqua River from my dock at the Prospect Park Dock. Beyond the island on the other shore is Kittery, Maine. (Aug. 7)

Chip Ahoy docked at Marston's Marina on the Saco River, our first port in Maine. (Aug. 9)

Marston's Marina dock at dawn. (Aug. 9)

A typical lobster trap minefield, in Saco Bay, Wood Island Light in the background. (Aug 10)

Our slip at DiMillo's Marina in Portland, Maine. (Aug 11)

I got Bill Cuzner, crewing on the Elizabeth M out of Marblehead, to take this and the next photo of me at DiMillo's Marina, the only ones in which I appear during the entire three-week cruise. DiMillo's Floating Restaurant is in the background, what looks like a cruise ship. (Aug. 13)
