Wally Riddle and his wife Terri ("Carpe Diem") met up with
me off the coast of Swampscott so we could photograph each other's boats
while under sail, at last.
It was a perfect day -- except that my motor wouldn't start at my
mooring, which put my departure for our rendezvous back by almost two
hours. Finally underway, I rounded Marblehead, passed Tinker's Island,
and reached Wally by cell phone. He started heading toward me, outside,
while I continued toward him hugging the coast. After we'd passed each
other like two ships at sea, by phone we were able to finally get our
act together and get the following photos of each other and our boats.
The bad thing about meeting up to take photos is, the
photos include the other skipper taking photos!
