After an exceptionally tough winter, the big day is finally here. Fortunately we haven't suffered the usual monsoon season this year, with only occasional rain -- the last being yesterday's storm.

Today is partly cloudy, in the low 60s. At last it was time to get Chip Ahoy moved out front from its winter location alongside the house, uncover it and get this year's projects underway.

Over the winter I had only one small project this year, revisiting and restoring the cribboards. I completed that task yesterday so everything's good to go.

Each season the covering and uncovering rituals become easier, quicker. Practice makes perfect and this ninth spring went smoothly.

I don't have the usual amount of work this spring to make Chip Ahoy ready for launching -- "by Memorial Day Weekend" should happen again, for the second year in a row.  (Apr. 14, 2011)
