Teak after three coats of straight Cetol Marine Natural Teak finish, as recommended by its manufacturer.  According to Sikkens, this is as good as it will get.  I wasn't satisfied and decided to instead treat Cetol like applying varnish . . .

After wet-sanding with 400 grit wet-and-dry paper in preparation for the Cetol/Penetrol treatment, which I've adopted through my experimentation and successfully applied to other pieces in this project.
