The never-ending project to fill my hole in the ocean while bailing it out

The galley sink, removed

Description

I removed the galley sink; it's now stored in the shed out back -- probably until and if I ever sell Chip Ahoy.  It took up just too much space for the minimal convenience (?) it provided.  Besides, it's drainage hose was just one more potential leak.  I eliminated that hose as well.

I kept the original Kenyon alcohol stove aboard, tucked into the space where the galley unit used to slide, alongside my "food locker,"  a large, wide, shallow, airtight plastic box.  The stove's especially handy for percolating coffee in the mornings along my cruises.  I replaced the galley unit's water container with two 5-gallon collapsible jugs, one that I keep full.
